Summer Readmission

A student that has a GPA below a 2.0 may petition for Readmission for the Summer Session only when accompanied by a Readmission petition for the Fall semester.

All students seeking to apply for Summer Readmission must indicate the one Summer Session in which they wish to readmit for on their application. Please note there are 4 different Summer Sessions offered at York College.

• Summer Session 4 Week 1
• Summer Session 4 Week 2
• Summer Session 7 Week 1
• Summer Session 10 Week

Summer Readmission Petition criteria

• Download and fill out the Summer Readmission petition completely.
• Download and fill out the Fall Readmission petition completely.
• All students must submit a typed personal statement. (The typed personal statement explains the extenuating cicumstance/reasoning for your past academic difficulties, plans for improved academic performance if readmitted, and any activities you have engaged in since last attended, that would indicate a probability for future academic success)
• Students also must submit documentation to support their claim in their personal statements.
  (Documentation may include but is not limited to medical documents, marriage licenses, death certificates, birth certificates, court documents, police reports, etc.)
• Access the OSAS Secure Portal. Upload your completed Readmission petition, typed personal statement, photo ID, and any supporting documentation onto the secure portal

The summer sessions are a shorter and faster paced academic session. For students that have below a 2.0 GPA, please take this into consideration when applying for a Summer Readmision petition.
